Pit Holes That Prevent Right Decisions

                             

"While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal." II Cor 4:18...

There are major pit holes that hinder people from making right decisions in life. Every human being is often faced with this challenge and that is why Paul said, "While we look not at the things which are seen". This is a fundamental principle in aligning your decisions with the will of God. You will not last in following God's plan for your life if you look at things that are seen.

These major pit holes are what usually make people loose what God has in store for them. Some of them are as follows:

(a) Considering many things. This is one of the reasons people who started walking with God in their journey sunk. They started looking at the storm and the boisterous wind like Peter and they started sinking. The only person you should keep looking at is Christ; watching for every word from His mouth Matt 4:4 "....man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God".
By the time you begin to consider many things, the devil will get you out of God's plan for you.

(b) Considering what sounded reasonable. It might be reasonable to invest in a business that will collapse next month but God will tell you not to. It might be reasonable to stay in an office when you don’t know that robbers will raid but God could ask you to just go for a treat in the restaurant. Don't follow the reasonable but the direction of God for your life.

(c) Considering the voices. Learn how to separate ordinary voices from the word of God. Other counsels will come as voices but God's direction will come to your spirit through His word or spiritual authorities in your life. Learn to take note of this.

This month and this year, there are things that God has hidden for you and only His direction can help you discover them.

Prayer: Lord, give me grace for stability to watch out for every word from you to take decisions in Jesus name. Show me every area I am already considering many things, voices or what sounds reasonable. Deliver me from them in Jesus’ name. Amen.
