The Mystery Of The Holy Communion

‘But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: – 1 Corinthians 2:7. THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When you access the mysteries of God, you gain mastery in life.

Our anchor Scripture reveals that the wisdom of God is always encapsulated in mysteries. Mysteries in this context could be seen as “sacred secrets” revealed only to the saints (people of God). This is why there are many things in Scripture that are difficult to comprehend with the ordinary human mind. And until we understand certain mysteries, we cannot walk out of some situations in life.
One of such mysteries is the mystery of the Holy Communion. The Communion is the cup (wine) and the bread that make us partakers of the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ.(1 Corinthians 10:16). That means, the Communion, by uniting us with Christ, imparts us with the very nature and essence of His life.
Many Christians, especially those with the background of the traditional churches may have been taking the Communion only religiously. They don’t know that the Communion is God’s wisdom or solution packaged in mysteries. Beloved, the Communion has a lot to offer. So, what then does the Communion has to offer?
Matthew 26:26-28 says, ‘And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.’
The Communion carries the Body and the Blood of the Master. So, whatever is in His Body and Blood is represented in the Communion. But what is in His Blood? His Blood carries His very life because the life of the flesh is in the blood according to Leviticus 17:11. Therefore, every encounter with the Communion (if taken with revelation) is an encounter with the life of Jesus.
Now, what do we see in His life? In His life there is indestructibility. That is to say, the life of Jesus is indestructible. This was why the Pharisees, the Sadducees or even Herod could not kill him. He has the power to lay it down and the power to take it again. (John 6:17). No demon or virus can destroy that life, and that is the same life you take whenever you take the Communion. You drink that life when you drink the Communion wine. You see, your life also becomes indestructible when you take the Communion because of the impartation of the life of Jesus.
Therefore, the Communion (when taken with a revelation) pushes someone into the realm of mastery because when you access the mysteries of God, you gain mastery in life. The fact is, in every realm of life, access to mystery equals attainment of mastery. The secret of a man who appears to be a master in many realms is his access to mysteries. It is also important to note that access to mysteries eliminates miseries in life.
Beloved, when you access the mysteries of God, you gain mastery in life. Mysteries handle miseries. Therefore, you cannot connect with the mysterious wisdom of God and continue to live a miserable life.
