Passion: Key To The Anointing

You're blessed when you've worked up a good appetite for God. He's food and drink in the best meal you'll ever eat. – Matthew 5:6 (Msg). THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Hunger or passion for God is the key to the Anointing.

It is very important to note that the most powerful force on the face of the earth is the power of God’s Presence. This Presence of God is what is called the Anointing. In the Book of Psalm chapter one hundred and fourteen, the Bible says, ‘When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language; Judah was hissanctuary, and Israel his dominion. The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back. The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs. What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back? Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams; and ye little hills, like lambs? Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob; Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.’ So, the Presence of God has the capacity to divide opposition or dissolve obstructions. Mountains melt at the Presence of God. That means a man who has the Presence of God cannot be a victim of any mountain of resistance on earth. A woman with the Presence of God cannot be limited by any red sea on earth.
What then is the key to accessing the Anointing or God’s Presence?
It is hunger or passion for God. The Scripture says: ‘Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled.’ (Matthew 5:6). Hunger or passion for God is the key to the Anointing. The fact is, everybody has passion, but for different things at different levels; some have passion for food, others for movies, and can spend as much as six consecutive hours watching home movies. There are people whose passion is sports or fashion. Vanity is the passion of others, and it is usually fuelled by the quest to fill a vacuum – the lack of Divine Presence. Some people also have passion for computers and the internet and can be hooked up to the net for hours. Unfortunately for many people, their passion eventually becomes their god, and may usher them straight to hell. This is because anything that becomes your god other than God can take you to hell. But when your hunger for God and all He represents is unquenchable, unutterable, unconquerable, then it becomes impossible for you not to be endued with the Anointing.
What is your passion for God? How far has it restricted you from partaking in worldly activities? Beloved, genuine passion for God should restrict you from worldly or carnal involvements. I see you having genuine passion for God in Jesus’ Name.
