Then the
presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the
kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was
faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him. Daniel 6:4. THOUGHT
OF THE DAY: If
you lose money, nothing is lost, if you lose health, something is lost, but if
you lose character, everything is lost.
Character
is a set of positive and distinctive qualities that make somebody or something
interesting or attractive. It makes somebody or something to be unique. Today’s anchor Scripture shows Daniel as a man of character who existed without
fault, blame or error. Little wonder he fulfilled his destiny as a man of
character. Character, therefore, is crucial to the fulfilment of destiny. Why then is
this so?
1.
Character is everything.
Billy Graham; a man of unimpeachable character once said, ‘if you lose money, you lose nothing, if you lose health, you lose something, but if you lose character, you lose everything.’ This means that you lose everything if you lose character because character is the bedrock of life. He (Billy Graham) was also once asked to give the three keys to success in life. He said, ‘The first key is Character, the second key is character and the third key is character.’ That means that Character is everything. This was why Job said in Job 27:5, ‘God forbid that I should justify you; till I die, I will not remove my integrity from me.’ What Job meant was that even though Satan had taken his children, money, property, health, and it seemed he had lost everything; he would never lose his integrity (character). That is to say in other words, ‘even if I lose everything, I’m holding on to one thing, and that is integrity. Even if I have to die, I will keep my integrity.’ And God also seemed to have said, ‘you cannot die. If you are ready to die in order to maintain character, then I restore to you everything you have lost. I will give you double for your trouble; double grace, double inheritance, double resources, double fire, double anointing.’ Beloved, God is about to restore to you double for your trouble in Jesus Name.

2.
Character is more important than intelligence.
Character
is more profitable, valuable and marketable than intelligence. For instance,
imagine someone who graduated with a first class degree in nuclear physics and
probably went straight for a Doctorate degree without having to do a Masters
degree because of his high IQ. Supposing such a person secures a job and
becomes arrogant and insolent towards his colleagues in the office, he would be
shown the way out by his boss someday because of his characterless conduct. Such a person may remain jobless despite his high IQ and First-class
certificate because of bankruptcy of character. This is because he may be too
intelligent to be employed or too talented to be submissive.
ASSIGNMENT

this life as a king, one of the major ways you will do that is by the power of
