Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save;
neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated
between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you,
that he will not hear. – Isaiah 59:1,2. THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: There
is nothing that corrupts a man’s life and destiny like iniquity.
God
created you in order to fulfil your days and maximize your destiny on earth.
You are not an accident of creation, but a deliberate intention of the Creator
for a definite purpose and agenda. You are here on a mission to fulfil the
vision and purpose of your Maker. What
then does it take to fulfil your days or realize your destiny? How do you avoid
the tragedy of a wasted life? What does it take to live a life that is
fulfilled with minimal regrets?
Living in uprightness: To live free of sin with a clear
conscience is to last long on the earth. This is because there is nothing that
corrupts a man’s life and destiny like iniquity. There are two vital reasons
why living in uprightness will help you to fulfil your days and realize your
destiny on earth. They are:
1) Sin disconnects people from the Presence and the glory of God.
(Isaiah 59:1,2; Romans 3:23). When a man sins or lives in sin
habitually, he is separated from the Presence of God and disconnected from His
glory. And when you are disconnected from the Presence of God, you are
vulnerable to destruction (Psalms 91:1). Disconnection from
the glory of God also renders people defenceless, because the glory of God is a
defence (Isaiah 4:5b). So, if you want to live, fulfil your days and realize
your destiny, run from iniquity.
2) Sin destroys faith and confidence in God. When the conscience
is warped with guilt, boldness is lost (Proverb 28:1). Sin destroys your faith
and confidence in God, and when faith is lacking, life is at risk. Therefore,
beloved, if you want to fulfil your days and realize your destiny, don’t allow
the corruption of iniquity. You will escape the corruption of iniquity and the
damnation of sin in Jesus’ Name.
ASSIGNMENT (S): 1. Consciously guard the treasure of God’s
Presence in you against sin.
2. Consistently ask God for the Grace to live above sin.
PRAYER: Lord, give me the grace to live above sin, and make me a carrier of Your Presence, in Jesus’ Name.
2. Consistently ask God for the Grace to live above sin.
PRAYER: Lord, give me the grace to live above sin, and make me a carrier of Your Presence, in Jesus’ Name.
