Created With Pre-Existing Supplies

And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold; Andthe gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone. – Genesis 2:10-12.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The supply of man existed before his demands.

From the above Scripture, we understand that resources or supplies to meet man’s needs pre-existed his creation. God made available man’s supplies before man’s demands arose. Man’s supplies, therefore, predated man’s creation because he was created after all other things. For example, God put gold in the ground and there was no record in history that Adam ever touched gold. In fact, it never appeared as if Adam knew about any gold deposit, let alone touching it. But as far as God was concerned, one day, man would know the value of all He had pre-provided, one day he would have need for and begin to use them. Beloved, in the same manner, all you need to sustain your life till the end is already in existence. In this world, in the scheme of things, even those things you never have any value for right now are already in existence. Even the things you don’t know that belong to you are already in existence. Job 36:11, says, ‘If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures. ’Remember, the Scripture didn’t say, ‘They will spend their days in calamity, poverty, scarcity or in shortage’, neither did it say, ‘They will spend their lives begging and borrowing under pressure or pain’, but in prosperity and pleasures. Briefly take note of the following points in order to access Divine supply:

i) God’s people are designed to spend their days in prosperity and not in adversity. God designed that His people spend their days in abundant supplies and not in scarcity.
ii) God designed that His people spend their years in pleasure and not under pressure. Living under pressure is contrary to God’s design for His people. To live in consistent adversity is an aberration. Beloved, reject every form of pressure or adversity in your life as they are contrary to God’s plan and purpose for you.
iii) Access to prosperity and pleasure is not by fasting and prayer but by obedience and service. Remember, the Scripture didn’t say, ‘If they fast and pray very well, they will spend their days in prosperity and their years in pleasure’, but rather, ‘If they will obey and serve him…….’ You see, you don’t access prosperity and pleasure from God by engaging in prayer vigils or lengthy fasting. You only escape poverty by obedience and service to God. Of course, there is a place for prayer and fasting. They are very good and they produce their different results, but when it comes to prosperity and pleasure, the master key is obedience and service. And there are also specific instructions to obey like: ‘bring in all your tithes into the storehouse… (Malachi 3:10)‘he that soweth sparingly, shall reap sparingly, he that soweth bountifully shall reap bountifully (2 Corinthians 9:6), etc. You can now see that there are instructions to obey and services to render for God to make prosperity and pleasure natural in your life. I see you stepping there in Jesus’ Name.
