Not slothful in
business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord. Romans 12:11.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The freshness of your relationship with God
fuels the freshness of your life...
The real need of man is spiritual
not physical. This is because it is the spiritual that sets the pace for the
physical. The spiritual controls, annexes and influences the physical. Fact is,
if the spiritual is taken care of, the physical will take care of itself. Your
physical state is a direct reflection of your spiritual status. Physicality
takes its bearing from spirituality. That is why you should ‘Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these
things will be added to you’ (Matthew 6:33 paraphrased) because
the real needs of man are spiritual (Matthew 6:33). Therefore, if
you are not satisfied with the physical state of things in your life, dig
deeper spiritually.
You should never allow any
physical, earthly assignment to destroy your spirituality because the freshness
of your relationship with God is what fuels the freshness of your life.
Everything about you (be it your resources, spirit, soul, body, and
environment) can be fresh if your relationship with God is fresh. They can flourish
and blossom because you are blossoming and flourishing in God. When a person
stops growing spiritually, everything around their lives stops growing as well.
The buoyancy of a person’s spirit is what determines the buoyancy of their
destiny.
That is why every message that
comes to you in the Church leaves you with a responsibility. You must pick up
something that you have never heard before, something to walk with, to further
study on, and to dig deeper into. If you come to the Church on Sunday, take notes,
and the next time you open the note is another service day, that is a tragedy;
a great tragedy. There should be something that must be born in your heart
afresh, (new light and new revelation) that you must take up and study and put
into practice on a regular and consistent basis.
ASSIGNMENT (S):
1. Endeavour to read your notes as often as possible.
2. To get more light on any topic, endeavour to search and study it up in the Word of God.

PRAYER: Lord,
give me grace not to allow any physical assignment destroy my spirituality, in
Jesus’ Name.
