The Rhema Word of God

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Ephesians 6:17.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Every time you encounter Rhema, a sword has been handed to you.

The Rhema (revealed Word) of God is the sword of the spirit, a weapon of attack. That is why every time you encounter Rhema, a sword has been handed to you. Each time you are seeing something out of the Scripture that you have not seen before, a new sword is being handed to you. And a sword of course, is not a weapon of defence but of attack (offence). You can use your shield to defend yourself but you use your sword to attack. The absence of Rhema, therefore, is the absence of weapon.

Another important thing to note is the connection between our faith and Rhema. Faith uses revelation (Rhema or insight) to fight. For instance, if one’s life is stagnated, one Rhema can slay that demon of stagnation. If the enemy sends an arrow into one’s body, one Rhema, (insight) from the Scripture can slay the witchcraft spirit behind that arrow. The gathering of Rhema, therefore, is the gathering of ammunition. And the best thing that can happen to you is to have (Rhema) ammunition ready before battle arrives. It is very clear, therefore, to see that faith uses Rhema to fight.

Beloved, that is why it is very important to be on a consistent quest for Rhema. Every time you come to Church, open your ears, spirit and mind and listen to the Word of God in order to get Rhema. Ask yourself, ‘Is there something I am going to hear today that I have not heard before or is there something I have heard before that is coming in a new light today?’ When you do this consistently, you will easily locate Rhema.

ASSIGNMENT (S):
1. Whenever you read the Bible, locate the Rhema (light) that can destroy every dart the enemy fires at you.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive connection to fresh Rhema. Open my eyes to see fresh things I haven’t seen before, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
