The Power Of The Blessing

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. Genesis 1:28.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: There is something heavy in the blessing that makes you vital to your generation.

The blessing is one of the most powerful forces on earth. It is so powerful that it was the only thing God left Adam and Eve with after He finished creating them. As far as God was concerned then, if He gave the first human couple the blessing, there was no need to fear for their future. The devil feared and coveted the blessing so much that he did everything possible to usher Adam and Eve into disobedience. They were pushed into disaster from that disobedience and became disconnected from the blessing. Despite this development, the blessing of God still carries more power than we know.

How powerful then is the blessing?
The blessing imparts greatness and prominence to life: To be blessed means to be allocated greatness by God and imparted with prominence. To be blessed means to be awarded relevance. To be blessed also means to be positioned for importance. A blessed man therefore is a great man. A blessed woman is also a prominent woman. A blessed person is a relevant and important person because God is too important to raise nonentities; He is not a God of nonentities. He may encounter you in a less desirable state but He can’t leave you like that. He may encounter you as a liability but He can’t leave you that way. He turns unknown people to renowned people. He turns nonentities to celebrities and ‘some-entities’. That is why there is something heavy in the blessing that makes you vital to your generation.

ASSIGNMENT (S): Declare daily that you are prominent, relevant and important to your generation.

PRAYER: I am too blessed to be irrelevant; I am too blessed to be insignificant; I am too blessed to be useless, in Jesus’ Name.
DAILY READING: Leviticus 16:29–18:30; Mark 7:24–8:10; Psalms 41:1–13; Proverbs 10:15–16.
QUOTE: When you represent God well, He rewards you well. Culled from 365 WISDOM CAPSULES by Dr Paul Enenche.
