And the city shall be
accursed, even it, and all that are therein, to the LORD: only Rahab the harlot
shall live, she and all that are with her in the house, because she hid the
messengers that we sent. Joshua 6:17.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: God
cannot co-exist with demons...
The Presence of God contains the blessing of
God. To be a carrier of God’s Presence therefore, is to be a candidate for His
blessing. That is to say that where His Presence is available, His blessing is
confirmed.
Now, how does one carry His Presence in order
to be blessed? It is by making one’s life a house for God by living a holy and
upright life. It is also by extension, making your house (home) a house for
God. If your life is a house for God and you go a step further to make your
house (home) a house for God, then you are at the point where God will prove to
you that He cannot live in your house and you remain cursed. This is because
God cannot co-exist with demons. For instance, the life of Obededom the Gittite
changed positively in 2 Samuel 6:11-13, as he housed the Ark of Covenant of the
Lord. Rahab, the harlot gave accommodation to the spies of Israel , the covenant people of God, and when the
wall of Jericho
collapsed, the only segment of it that couldn’t come down was her house. For accommodating
God’s people, she and her entire family were preserved. In addition to that,
Rahab entered the commonwealth
of Israel and became one
of the ancestors of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Beloved, every time you have the opportunity
of giving your house to be used either for Dunamis Home
Church or a Home
fellowship, know that you are doing your life and destiny a favour. Don’t ever
think that you are doing the Church a favour. One man in our Church gave his
house for the Home
Church meeting and that
same week, his pregnant wife boarded a vehicle without knowing that the driver
was an agent of ritual killers. After the driver roamed about for a while, he
said, ‘Madam, please alight here. I am not a taxi driver. I am an agent of
ritual killers on assignment; I was sent to bring a pregnant woman, but
something restrained me from touching you as soon as I saw you.’ That was how
the woman was preserved from death. The man (the husband) came and testified in
Church saying, ‘I gave my house for the Home Church
and within that very week, God preserved my wife.’ There is something God wants
to do with your life, and as you make yourself available, it shall be done in
Jesus’ Name.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Make yourself a house for God by keeping yourself pure at all times.
2. If possible, do not hesitate to donate your house for God’s purpose.

PRAYER: Lord,
with the help of Your Grace, my life shall be more habitable for You, in Jesus’
Name.
