Blessed By The Word

Then Jesus called his disciples unto him, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: …And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets full. Matthew 15:32, 37

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Anybody who is too busy for the Word of God is too big to be blessed...

In our anchor Scripture of today’s message, multitudes of people were with Jesus for three days, that is, seventy–two hours under the rain of the Word. Afterwards, Jesus refused to allow them leave hungry and fed them; they ate until seven (7) baskets were left over. That is to say, after the rain of the Word was the rain of food. The rain of the Word, therefore, carries the rain of the blessing. You cannot sit under the Word and rise up empty.

In Luke 5:1–6, Peter was frustrated, having toiled all night without anything. He was asked to sit down and hear the Word of God and he did. If it were some of us that were asked to sit down and hear the Word, we would have probably said, ‘I told you I am tired. I didn’t sleep throughout the night till this morning. Please leave me alone.’ But this wasn’t the case with Peter; he sat down and heard the Word of God. In Verse four (4), after preaching, Jesus told him to launch out his net for a catch. He seemed to have told him, ‘Peter, since you have sat down and heard the Word, you have passed the test; it is time to break through; launch out your net.’ The fact then is, those who don’t have time for the Word have lost the time to be blessed. Anybody who is too busy for the Word of God is too busy to be blessed. I prophesy to you today that the rain of the Word will produce the rain of blessing in your life in the Name of Jesus Christ.
