Following The Examples Of The Blessed

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: You cannot follow the footsteps of giants and end as a dwarf...

The Word of God reveals the steps of the blessed to us so we can take the same steps and be blessed. Galatians 3:9 says, ‘So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.’ The Scriptures show us men and women who served God faithfully and as a result, did not end empty-handed; they were loaded with the blessing. What are some of the examples of the blessed generation of people outlined in the Bible? The Bible shows us Abraham who was a nonentity before being called by God, and the steps he took that turned him into a trans-generational celebrity. It also shows us how Isaac followed the footsteps of his father Abraham by hearkening to the instructions of God; how he re-dug the wells of his father and what became of him. The Scripture shows us how Jacob decided to re-enact the tithing covenant of Abraham, his father, in Genesis 28:22, and his outcome.

In contemporary times, Kenneth Copeland followed the footsteps and practices of Kenneth Hagin and that led him to a great height in life. When God’s servant, Bishop David Oyedepo, opened the books of Kenneth and Gloria Copeland and saw their examples and precepts, he decided to follow them and that brought him where he is today. Over fifteen (15) years ago, I began to observe certain steps that God’s servant, Bishop David Oyedepo, was taking. For instance before then, it wasn’t my practice to record my income on a regular consistent basis. But the moment I saw him record every penny that entered his hand, it became my lifestyle since then. And the first time I recorded my income for the year, I celebrated it and I am still celebrating till tomorrow. When God saw the orderliness and discipline of not squandering money but giving account of every kobo, the income multiplied. You cannot follow the footsteps of giants and end as a dwarf. The footsteps you take, therefore, determine the outcome you experience in life. Multiplication is your portion from today as you follow the examples of the blessed in the Name of Jesus Christ.

1. If you desire the outcome of anybody in the Bible and in contemporary times, find out the steps they took to reach there.
2. Ask God for grace to enable you take those steps.

PRAYER: Lord, give me the grace to know and the strength to take the steps that I need to take in order to reach where I want to reach, in Jesus’ Name.
