Worshipping Blindly – 05 November 2014

2 And Aaron said unto them, Break off
the golden earrings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of
your daughters, and bring them unto me.
3 And all the people brake off the
golden earrings which were in their ears, and brought them unto Aaron.
4 And he received them at their hand,
and fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: and

Message
The void created in man, following the departure of God’s glory from him as a result of the great fall in the Garden of Eden (Romans 3:23), yearns to be filled up. Unfortunately, the arch-enemy of man – Satan, has blinded the eyes of many to the light of the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ, which is the only means by which this void can be filled (2 Corinthians 4:4)
Jesus is the only way back to God. John 14:6 says,
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
When people appear religious without a real encounter with the gospel of Jesus, or refuse to open the door of their hearts to Jesus, though they are full of activities in the house of God, they merely worshipping blindly. In the words of today’s memory verse, they are worshipping what they know not of. Some are high up there in leadership positions, but they are like Aaron, they are acquainted with all the spiritual terminologies of the Christian life, but do not know God. It is only in Jesus that God can be truly seen and known; any other way is an exercise in blindness or groping in darkness.
Key Point: JESUS, and Him alone is the way, the truth and the life, there is non any other.
