Peace I
leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto
you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid (John 14:27). Continue...
This is so
profound! No wonder in Philippians 4:6-7 the Apostle Paul, by the Spirit,
writes, “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication
with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of
God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through
Christ Jesus.” The world is looking for peace today; it’s trying to do
everything to have peace, but the more it tries, the more it eludes it. The
Bible says, “...when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction
cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape”
(1 Thessalonians 5:3). This is
the dilemma that the people of the world are in today.
the dilemma that the people of the world are in today.
Jesus tells
us in John 16:33, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might
have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I
have overcome the world.” He overcame the world and gave us the victory over
the world. He actually “conquered” the world, and when He was through, He gave
us peace. He said, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give unto you...” (John
14:27); in other words, “I’ve given you the peace that the world can’t give.”
The peace
that you have in your spirit is the peace of Jesus Christ that surpasses
understanding. Circumstances may not look right; everything looks like there’s
trouble, yet the inexplicable and indescribable peace of God garrisons your
heart and mind! The world can’t understand how come you’re so much at peace in
the midst of crises. That’s the peace that Jesus gives; it gives you power over
crises. It beggars understanding!
CONFESSION
I have
peace in my spirit! I testify that I’m at peace in every situation, for Christ
is my peace; therefore, I live and walk in peace, every day of my life, in
Jesus’ Name. Amen.
