Live In Hope

Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. Heb. 10:35-37. Continue...

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Where hope ends, effort ends. And where effort ends, effect ends.
There are people who are no longer making any effort in any direction. When you ask them, ‘Are you going to pray?’ they will answer, ‘No.’ ‘Are you going to fast?’ ‘No.’ ‘Are you going to make sacrifice?’ ‘No, I have done everything already and God has refused to hear me. What is the use of doing anything anymore?’ Where hope ends, effort ends. And where effort ends, effect ends. Where hope and effort end, result ends.

You must continue to try as long as you know that there is help on the way. I came across an experiment some time ago where some rats were kept inside a container that is like an open bucket; there was a second container of rats which was covered. It was discovered that the rats in the open container continued to struggle to come out. But the rats in the covered container just resigned themselves to their fate and relaxed after a while. The person who conducted the experiment said, ‘For as long as these other rats in the open container kept on seeing light, they kept making effort and struggling, knowing that one day they would come out. But for the ones that could not see any trace of light, there was no more hope, so they resigned themselves to their fate.’

Beloved, you must keep on struggling and pushing in the light of God’s Word; keep on speaking the Word and doing the Will of God for as long as you know from the Word that your change is on the way. Today, every spirit of hopelessness and despair is arrested from your life, in the Name of Jesus. I prophesy hope and help from God; receive it now, in Jesus’ precious Name!

Remember this: where hope ends, effort ends. And where effort ends, effect ends.
