THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The move of God is triggered by the move of
man. Continue...
As we get closer to the coming of
the Lord, there is going to be very great battle for the maintenance of faith (Luke
18:8b). We need to know what to do in order to empower our faith. A person
of faith offers sacrifice. Note the following thoughts concerning sacrifice.
Firstly, sacrifice is an avenue for
both the expression and amplification of faith. When you release what you can,
you can expect God to do His part.
Secondly, sacrifice is an act of faith that increases confidence in God’s response. Faith involves the taking of steps that commit God to act.
Thirdly, the move of God is triggered by the move of man. When a man moves by sacrifice, God is committed to move. The Bible in Luke 6:38 says, ‘Give and it shall be given to you, good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over shall men give to your bosom…,’ and in Genesis 8:22, ‘While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, … day and night shall not cease.’
If you are not holding back your
sacrifice or any form of giving, God will not hold back your harvest. I believe
that since I am not holding back my giving, God will not hold back my harvest.
When you give committedly, excitedly and massively, you don’t need to pray in
order to make God to release your harvest because God is not unfaithful. When
God asked Moses to stretch his rod, that was the only thing Moses needed to do;
he did not need to beg God to send the wind to part the Red
Sea . The principle of sacrifice is ‘Do what you can do and God
will do what you cannot do.’ God is about to visit you and cause your harvest
to be released in response to your sacrifice, in Jesus’ Name!
ASSIGNMENT (S):
1. If you are expecting anything from God, you can draw it out by sacrifice.

PRAYER: Oh
Lord, cause me to be sensitive enough to know when a sacrifice is required of
me, in Jesus’ Name.
