Responsibility Is Key

A Christian that will manifest his or her destiny must switch from the mentality that is always seeking miracles to the responsibility mentality. The miracle mentality is one that says, “God is doing something for me” while the responsibility mentality says “God is doing something with me and through me.’’ The man with the miracle mentality is saying “I am a baby” while the responsibility mentality says “I am grown up, there is something I need to do for God to do something.” Continue...

In moving from a miracle mentality to that of responsibility, you need to ask yourself regularly, “What am I responsible for?” What are the things for which I will give account to God?” God has appointed you to a divine destiny, just as everyone has been appointed but you have the responsibility to fulfil it and on the final day, when you stand before the Father, you will give account of it.

Many Christians transfer their responsibilities to others but no one ever told them they will need to give account very soon. This is the time for you to catch God’s vision for your life, clarify your vision, write important details down and start running. Great people make the important decisions in their lives early and then spend the rest of their lives managing those decisions and you need to make important decisions about what God wants you to be and do in partnership with Him.

Age thirty is the age of destiny and everyone who had something to do in the programme of God as recorded in the Bible were already stepping into the waters of their destiny at that age and not just trying to find out. They started fulfilling destiny by age thirty at the minimum. If you calculate how many years you still have before you are thirty, those are the only years you can still afford to waste in irresponsibility but if you are thirty years or older, you should not live irresponsibly any longer because it will cost you much more than it had in the past. You cannot afford to play games or stay in a place where the pastor is making you feel at ease instead of sensitizing you to your divine schedules.

Prayer: I receive fresh baptism of the sense of Appointment, Responsibility and Accountability for the destiny that God has for me in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Bible Reference: Jeremiah 1:5 - Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
