THOUGHT
FOR THE DAY: To
love God is to see every child of God as an investment of Heaven.
To love God
is to see every child of God as an investment of Heaven, and to have this
perspective is to defend God’s investment. God invested His Son for His children;
so, don’t see the children of God as people to use. There are people who see
God’s children as opportunities to make money.
I see children of God as people to be raised. When I see a man that is influential, my heart’s cry is, ‘What can I add to this man’s life?’ Not ‘How can this man help me?’ I have never asked any government official for help in terms of finances and so on. A cabinet minister once told me, ‘This Church is choked up. Let’s work and get another land.’ I said, ‘God is on the throne, it is well.’ The next time that person came he said, ‘Would you people apply so that we can see how we can get a land?’ I said, ‘We already have a land, we are trying to build now.’ A state governor was in my office and we had some crucial discussions on the governance of his state. By the time he left, he told the man that brought him, ‘I have never seen a pastor like this. He didn’t ask me for any favour.’ Don’t look for what to get from people but how you can contribute to their lives. When that becomes your mindset, then God will embarrass you with blessings.
ASSIGNMENT (S)
1. Always look for opportunities to be a blessing to other people and not what
you can get from them.
