Be A Blessing And Not A Burden

Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. And he that reapeth receiveth wages... John 4:35-36

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Serve God and you will not need to beg Him to bless you. Continue...

Joshua never prayed or fasted to be the successor of Moses, yet that was what God did for him. Some women desire husbands from God, while others have given themselves to the service of God. Some people are waiting for God to give them visas to foreign countries, while another person is right in the Church cleaning and dusting the chairs. When you desire God above everything else, then God will release to you what others desire above God. Come to the point where it appears like you have lost your life, and people are looking at you as if you are a crazy man. Don’t worry, you will find it later.

Ensure that you are not coming to Church for nothing. Endeavour to be busy doing something in the house of God. Be involved in Kingdom service and in the Church. When somebody is not involved in doing anything in his father’s house: doesn’t sweep the floor, clean the sitting room, or wash dishes in the kitchen, he is a liability child. When his father is counting his profitable children, he cannot be considered as one of them. There are many children of God but majority of them are Kingdom liabilities. They are burdens to God and not blessings. Make up your mind not to be a burden but a blessing. Serve God and you will not need to beg Him to bless you. God services His servants and nourishes His instruments. Make yourself a servant and He will service you. Make yourself an instrument and He will nourish you.

Remember this: serve God and you will not need to beg Him to bless you.

ASSIGNMENT (S):

Serve the Lord with all your heart, soul and might.
Endeavour to be involved in the service of God on a consistent basis.

PRAYER: Lord, help me with the grace to shift to a new level of dedication to Your service, in Jesus’ Name.

QUOTE: You can serve your way into your destiny. Culled from 365 WISDOM CAPSULES by Dr Paul Enenche.
