Developing A Battle Plan Against The Devil’s Attacks

In over thirty years of ministry, I have found that the attacks of the devil meet many believers unprepared and unaware too often and this is not safe. I trust God that in the next few days, you will gain understanding on how not to be caught unawares by the devil’s attacks. Continue...

First you need to understand the following important facts about the attacks of Satan:

Attacks from Satan are not authorized from God; they are engineered by the devil (Isa. 54: 14). Never say, “maybe God has sent this assault into my life to help me learn one thing or the other.” Two lessons from Isaiah 54:

a. There will be a gathering together against you, but it is not by God. For you to pray against it, is to pray a prayer against what the Bible has said will happen.

b. The gathering together against you is ordained by God to fail. However, if this gathering together against you shall fail, it will require your understanding and mastery of spiritual warfare.

Attacks from Satan can be resisted and defeated.  The only thing you cannot resist is what God has authorized and sanctioned but since we have found that ATTACKS FROM SATAN ARE NOT SANCTIONED BY GOD, we are under mandate to resist and defeat them (1 Peter 5: 8). The devil is our adversary, not our advisor.

Another important truth for us today is to, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” The roaring lion is a hungry lion looking around for a prey to take advantage of. THE BIBLE NEVER SAYS THE DEVIL IS A ROARING LION. In fact, the verse will be more accurately read as, “just like a roaring lion looks around for a prey that is how the devil is walking around.”

Verse 9 says, “Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world” not assist.  Many Christians live their lives in a way that seems as if God has asked them to assist the devil. We also see that the afflictions in our lives are as a result of the devil’s direct or indirect activities. Therefore, if there is any affliction in your life as you read this, it should prove to you that the devil is already prowling around your premises looking to devour you.

Prayer: Lord, have mercy on me in any way I have assisted the devil in my thoughts and words and actions, deliver me from the consequences by Your blood in Jesus’ name, amen.
