Lack Of Preparation

Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward. 1 Sam. 16:13

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Every kingdom project requires kingdom process....

The failure of vision is due to lack of preparation. Sometimes, someone may attempt to do what God says he should do but fails due to lack of adequate preparation. Such a person fails not because the vision is wrong but because there is a failure of preparation. That is to say, between any vision and its manifestation is preparation. For instance, God gave Joseph a vision/ dream at the age of seventeen but it could not come to pass until after Joseph had passed through several challenges for thirteen solid years.

After Samuel anointed David, he could not sit on the throne until thirteen (13) years later. David could have said, ‘Since I didn’t get the throne the next day, or after two or three years, maybe it is not real or the prophet came to deceive me,’ and turn his back on the vision. That could have been very unfortunate but it has happened to so many people. They had genuine vision but because of lack of preparation, they thought that it was not genuine and gave up. You should understand that vision without preparation equals frustration, and every kingdom product requires kingdom process. That is why if the call of God is going to produce any result in your life, it must follow the process of God. And where there is no training there is no reigning because to reign, you must be trained. That was why when Moses tried to intervene in the fight between two Israelites, the man who was fighting his neighbour said, ‘Who made you ruler and judge over us?’ (Ex. 2:14) In other words, ‘How were you processed? What training qualifies you to come and do what you are trying to do?’ Moses had the vision but no preparation, so he could not fulfil the assignment at that time. Don’t discard the vision because of lack of preparation. No matter what level you are now, refuse to give up or settle for less. God is saying to you, ‘You are still in preparation.’

ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. If you have abandoned the vision that God gave you, endeavour to revisit it.
2. Always ask God for direction at every point in time.

PRAYER: Oh Lord, give me the grace to patiently wait until I have been processed, so that I will not manifest prematurely, in Jesus’ Name.

DAILY READING: MORNING: Gen. 26:17 – 27:46; Mt. 9:1-17 EVENING: Ps. 10:16-18; Prov. 3: 9-10.

QUOTE: The man that will make full proof of his ministry, is the man that is processed by Scripture. Culled from MAKING FULL PROOF OD MINISTRY by Dr Paul Enenche.
