Insist On Being Free

Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD… Genesis 18:18,19

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Insist on being free from poverty the way you insist on being free from demonic affliction...

Authority is not just a function of opportunity; it is your responsibility to ensure that you are in the realm of authority. Therefore, insist on being in charge the same way you insist on being free from captivity. You should also insist on being free from poverty the way you insist on being free from demonic affliction.

Now what is your key to authority and excellence?

Unconditional obedience: God told Abraham to get out of his father’s house to a land where He would show him, and Abraham departed as instructed. (Genesis 12:1-5).

What then is unconditional obedience?

a) It is the ability to go all the way with God.
b) The ability to risk it all for God: Abraham was asked to leave his father’s house, without friends or relations, and he obeyed. Many people in our world today have not repented because they cannot imagine leaving their beer parlour friends.
c) The ability to give up anything for the sake of God even if it is your lifestyle, business, etc.
d) Making God the most important deciding factor in your life: This is when God is the one that decides the way you dress and not the world. When He is the one that decides whether you will accept that employment or not. He decides the kind of business you should do, the kind of husband you should marry or not marry and the kind of places you should go to, etc. Always try to ask yourself, ‘If God were here, would I do this?’ ‘What would Jesus do in my condition?’
e) Making God to have both the first and the final say in your life: Doing this brings you to a point where your lifting cannot be contested. Abraham was lifted because he was at that point. I see you coming to that point and being lifted, in Jesus’ Name.

ASSIGNMENT (S):
1. Make up your mind to go all the way with God.
2. Be willing to risk it all for God.

PRAYER: Lord, I declare that I am free from poverty and demonic affliction, in Jesus’ Name.
