Be Passionately Passionate For God

And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend... Ex. 33:11

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: If you want the Elijah kind of manifestation, you need the Elijah kind of devotion...

There are people who don’t find pleasure outside God’s Presence. The prophet, Elijah was one of such people. These are those who are miserable and rendered useless outside God’s Presence. On the other hand, there are those who fancy this world. While those who find pleasure in God’s Presence can spend hours in worship, prayers, in the study of the Word and in fasting, those who find no pleasure in God’s Presence have no time for His Presence.

Such people (if they happen to be pastors) would like to jump from fantasy to the altar. It doesn’t work like that. If you want the Elijah kind of manifestation, you need the Elijah kind of devotion. If you desire the Elijah kind of demonstration, what is required is the Elijah kind of devotion. When you have the Elijah kind of devotion, then the Power of God will begin to draw you.

Now, are you at that point in your life where you are passionately passionate for God? We live in a generation where many things such as modern phones and facilities, the internet, the entertainment industry, etc., have replaced the passion for God thereby causing that primitive passion for God to die. Once my wife asked me if I would eat and I said, ‘No.’ She then asked if I was fasting. Fact is, sometimes, passion for God can get to a point where you are not even sure if you are fasting, but you just realise that you have no appetite for food. Be passionate for God and His Presence.

ASSIGNMENT (S):
1. Increase your study of the Word of God to increase your passion for God.
2. Endeavour not to let the passion for God die.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to abide permanently in Your Presence, in Jesus’ Name.

DAILY READING: MORNING: Gen. 41:17 – 42:17; Mt. 13:24 – 46 EVENING: Ps. 18:1-15; Prov. 4: 1-6

QUOTE: You may lose anything in life, but one thing you must never lose is the Presence of God. Culled from 30 SECRETS TO THE TOP by Dr Paul Enenche.
