The Devil Is An Errand Boy!

But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. – 1 Corinthians 2:7–9. THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The enemy is on assignment to help fulfil Divine agenda in your life.

Today is Good Friday! The commemoration of the day Jesus died to reconcile us with God and free us from the debt of sin. There are several lessons surrounding His death and resurrection. One of such lessons is that the devil is an errand boy!

The devil was created to be a servant and though he rebelled, God is still using him without his permission or awareness. Many times in Scriptures, we see how he runs errands to fulfil Divine purposes without his notice. For instance, he thought he was fighting against God in the lives of Joseph, Moses and Daniel. But, without his knowledge, God was actually telling him, ‘Help Me send Joseph to Egypt. Help Me send Moses to the wilderness and help Me throw Daniel into the lion’s den, so that they can all fulfil My agenda!’

The same thing happened when Jesus was crucified. God actually sent the devil on an errand to crucify Jesus so that He can reconcile man to Himself but the devil thought he was working against God. It was after he had completed his errand that he realized he had just doomed himself because the death of Jesus was and still is the greatest blow that crushed the devil. It looks to me like God said to him: ‘devil, you thought you are the one who crucified Jesus? I handed Him over to you because I wanted Him to die for the sins of the world. I wanted an instrument that could fulfil that purpose, so I decided to use you.’ I can imagine the devil returning to hell, head bent in shame and defeat, narrating his eternal error to his demons. No wonder our anchor Scripture said, for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory!

What does this mean to you? It means that every enemy activity in your life is working for your good. It means that the enemy is on assignment to help fulfil Divine agenda in your life. I decree that every enemy hostility and gang up is turning out for your good in Jesus’ Name!

ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Understand that the devil is an errand boy and that whatever he is doing shall turn out for your good.
2. Always appreciate God because the devil does not and can never have the final say in your life and destiny.

PRAYER: Father, I thank You because the devil is an errand boy, who is working to help fulfil Your agenda in my life. Thank You for causing everything to work for my good, in Jesus’ Name.
