In whom we
have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the
riches of his grace (Ephesians 1:7).
The blood
of Jesus was shed for us, first, for the remission of sins, and secondly, that
we may have life. His blood was divine, and through Him, not only have we
obtained remission of sins, we've also received justification for the life that
He's given to us. Our salvation came from His blood. That's why it was possible
for us to be born again. Christ has been sacrificed for us, and in Him, we're
given a new life; a life that's superior to Satan, death, hell, and the grave.
There's no
destruction for the child of God! God told the children of Israel ,
"When I see the blood, I will pass over you, and you'll be shielded from
the destroyer..." (Exodus 12:13). It doesn't matter in what way the
destroyer tries to attack you, whether he comes to attack you with poverty,
sickness, disease or infirmity of any kind, you're shielded; he'll not come
into your house! You've passed from death unto life.
See, and
appreciate your real value in the price that God paid for your salvation!
You're worth the blood of Jesus Christ. You've become one with God, not because
of what you did, but because of what Jesus did. The old religious thinking that
God is so great while we're nothing before Him, is a lie of the devil. If you
were nothing, He wouldn't pay for your salvation with the blood of Jesus
Christ. The price He paid to save you shows how valuable you are:
"Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things,
as silver and gold...But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb
without blemish and without spot" (1 Peter 1:18-19).
PRAYER: Dear
Lord, thank you for the precious blood of your Son, Jesus Christ. Having been
justified by His blood, eternal life is mine. His blood, which was poured out
for remission of sins gives me the right to a life of glory, peace, and
dominion. I celebrate my treasured salvation, consummated by the blood of
Christ, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
