Fear Not; God Is About To Do His Best

Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the LORD will do great things. – Joel 2:21. THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Enemy intimidation always precedes Divine manifestation.
Fear is a strong, uncontrollable, unpleasant emotion caused by actual or perceived danger or threat. From our definition, we can see that fear is not only caused by actual danger, but perceived, imagined or unconfirmed danger. In fact, fear from imagined or unconfirmed dangers has wrecked many lives. This shall not be your portion in Jesus’ Name.

The enemy specializes in using the weapon of fear against the people of God, especially at their verge of breakthrough in life. Enemy intimidation always precedes Divine manifestation. The enemy always tries to do his worst when God is about to do His best. The devil usually tries to invade a life or a land with fear just before the overwhelming Visitation of the Presence and Glory of God on that life or in that land. Little wonder the Book of Joel 2:21 says: ‘Fear not… for the Lord will do great things!’ Understand, therefore, that any real or perceived intimidation against your life now is because God is about to do great things!
For instance, in the days of Haman, there was a threat to eliminate all the Jews in the Persian Empire, but God turned the story around. The Jews experienced a drastic turnaround so much that many people in the land decided to become Jews because fear of the Jews fell upon them. Instead of destruction and elimination, the Jews had preservation and celebration marked with a feast (Esther 8:17)! And Mordecai who was a gateman became a Prime Minister in the Persian Empire! Note, however, that before these remarkable events, there was a threat (intimidation) of elimination that instilled fear on the minds of the Jews.
Daniel also experienced intimidation before he was made ruler over the province of Babylon. In Daniel 2:12–13, we see that King Nebuchadnezzar gave orders for all the wise men of Babylon (of which Daniel was among,) to be killed because they could not tell him both the dream he had and the interpretation thereof. But Daniel told the King his dream and gave him the interpretation, after which he not only escaped death, but was also promoted (Daniel 2: 46–48).
You see, the enemy always tries to do his worst when God is about to do His best. My counsel to you is in our anchor passage: Fear Not! Fear not for God is about to do His best in your life. I decree that the breakthrough the enemy is afraid of shall come to pass in your life. You shall overcome the spirit of fear. You shall not miss your Divine promotion and lifting in Jesus’ Name.

ASSIGNMENT(S): 1. Consciously speak against the spirit of fear.
2. Ask the Lord to usher you into that realm the devil is trying to prevent you from reaching.
PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for the good plans You have for me. I walk into them today in Jesus’ Name.
