Fight The Good Fight

                                          

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. 1 Tim. 6:12

We are in a fight whether you look for anybody’s trouble or not. We are in a fight because we were made in the image of God. The fight of faith is the attack of belief, especially positive belief. The devil wants to shake your belief in order to find out how seriously you believe it. The fight of faith is an attack on utterance. It is aimed at changing your language. The devil wants to make you change your confession. When you declare that ‘I cannot be sick, I cannot be poor,’ etc., he wants to change it to a negative confession or situation.

The fight of faith is an attack on positive behaviour. The devil attacks your behaviour especially Scripture-based behaviour. He will try to reduce the number of times you go to Church by telling you that going to Church has not changed you. That is a fight of faith. He will tell you that you have been giving money, tithe and offering, yet it has not changed your life; he will tell you to stop it. But the Bible in 2 Corinthians 10:3-4 says, ‘For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)’ So there is war and you must fight to win.

Remember this: we are in a fight because we were made in the image of God.

ASSIGNMENT (S):

1. Put on the whole armour of God that you may fight to win (Ephesians 6:11).
2. Don’t give attention to what the enemy is saying but focus on the Word of God.

PRAYER: Lord, I put on Your entire armour and I am ready to win this fight of faith, in Jesus’ Name.
