Tithe Is A Covenant Connector

Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. Malachi 3:10.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: It is the portion you give to God that makes the rest in your hands productive...

Our anchor Bible verse above makes it clear that tithe is a covenant connector. The tithe connects us with the blessing covenant. The Bible says in Hebrews 7:8 ‘And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth.'
This means that ushers may collect the tithes in Church, accountants may count them, but there is somebody who receives them in Heaven – God Himself. Tithe is not a Church doctrine; it is a blessing covenant connector. Concerning the tithe, God seems to be saying, ‘Let me access what is in your hands, so that you can have access to what is in my hand; give me a portion of what I gave you so that you can secure the rest.’ That is why those who tithe consistently are connected to the blessing covenant. One of such people is Papa Oyedepo who said that his grandmother taught him how to tithe. Every time he saw the elderly woman with ten coins, she would pick one out of it and say, ‘My son, this is for God; it is called tithe. It is this one that secures the balance.’ Blessed are such grandmothers and mothers who can bequeath a Godly legacy to their younger generation. Beloved, it is the portion you give to God that makes the rest in your hands productive.
When we did the foundation seed for our new Church site (The Lord’s Garden), I gave a massive seed; the Church accountants showed me the record and there was no figure higher than that on the list, so we practice what we preach. Before that month was over, the seed I gave returned four times. God doesn’t owe anybody; He is too faithful to fail. Your tithe and giving is your opportunity for a drastic lifting. It has worked in my life. God is not looking for what to take from you. He is trying to see what He will add to your life. Therefore, beloved, connect with the blessing covenant by consistent tithing and other Kingdom investments. And your life will never remain the same in Jesus’ Name.

ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. If you have not been a faithful tither, ask God for grace to become one.
2. Get a tithe booklet if possible to help you in accountability.
