Joshua waited on God, His Word and His Presence, while others were playing and doing whatever they wanted with their lives. Those who wait on God don’t waste in life. Sometimes people might look at you and say, ‘Are you not wasting your life and time? You have given all your money to the Church.’ That is the voice of the devil and you must refuse to listen to it. One of the key thoughts on dedication is unusual dedication to God and it is the secret of unusual manifestations in life. This happens when people look at your life and they see that things are happening above normal frequency.

An example of such a person in the Bible is Joshua who commanded the sun and the moon to stand still and they did. Why would God hearken to the voice of a man and make time to stand still for 24 hours? The only reason why God would do that is because the man was unusually dedicated to Him: Joshua departed not from the tabernacle (Ex. 33:11). Unusual manifestations answer to unusual dedication. Some people have been coming to Church for the past ten (10) years and have been doing nothing in the house of God; they are not in the prayer band, choir or any department but sit comfortably, take notes and then go back home. Go higher in your prayer life, worship to God, and service in the house of God. If we must see the overflow that God wants us to see, we must shift gear in our dedication to God.

PRAYER: Lord, I have dwelt on this mountain of normal Christianity for too long. I want to change levels; help me Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
