A wife, Usman Aisha, has dragged her husband, Ibrahim to a Lugbe grade 1
area court in Abuja
over his inability to satisfy her during love making.
In his judgment, the judge, Mr Garba Ogbede, said that the marriage had
broken down irretrievably and efforts to reconcile them proved abortive. “Since
both parties consented to the dissolution of their marriage, this court has no
choice than to dissolve the marriage. “The couple can no longer stay together
because the marriage has broken down totally; both parties are no longer
husband and wife, they are free to go their separate ways. “Both parties are to
keep the peace all the time; any violation of the order should be reported to
the police for redress,” Ogbede held.
Paul Nnanwobu (Dallas ,
Texas ), in his comment, believes
that "Marriage is not about all sex and gratification of sexual appetite.
To love is to lay down one's life fir the other. Some women are naturally
frigid and satisfaction usually takes longer. There are couples who have had
children and been married for more than six years yet the woman has never
reached orgasm. So many women and men are disoriented about marriage and are
ill prepared to absorb the emotional elemental in matrimony. This issue of the
reported couple should have been solved if they have asked for help. The crux
may not be about sex. They have still some untold stories."
What do you think of these recent cases plaguing our marriage
institution?
