Rediscovering Purpose!

And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I. – Exodus 3:4

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The worst thing that can happen to anybody is to live in this world without fulfilling purpose.
Moses was a man who had an idea of the plan of God for his life and he went in the strength of that idea to deliver the children of Israel from the captivity of the Egyptians. However, when he met stiff oppositions, he abandoned his path of purpose for forty years. But after he encountered God at the flames of the burning bush, God redirected his life to the path of purpose.

Now, what does it mean to fulfil purpose?

1. It is the fulfilment of Divine agenda for a man’s life.

It is the reason God created you (Jeremiah 1:5). It is the reason you succeeded in the womb of your mother against the million sperms competing for fertilization.

Beloved, the worst thing that can happen to anybody is to live in this world without fulfilling purpose. Life without bearing is a burden.

2. It is the full release of potentials.

This means touching lives with a mark that will last for time and eternity. You are not permitted to sleep until you have serviced your generation. When you come to a point where people thank God for your life, then you are on the pathway of purpose.

ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Ask God persistently to show you the purpose of your existence, and if you have already discovered it, ensure to work hard in order to fulfil it in your lifetime.

PRAYER: O Lord, I ask that You reveal to me what You have deposited into my life. Help me Lord to fulfil the purpose for which You created me in Jesus’ Name.

QUOTE: God is more interested in who you are than what you have. He is more interested in your heart than in your things. Culled from REASON FOR LIVING by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY READING: Leviticus 27:14 to 34, Numbers 1:54, Mark 11:1-26, Psalm 46:1-11, Proverbs 10:23.
