Friday Rhapsody Of Realities - Appreciate The Success Of Others

Always be humble and gentle. Patiently put up with each other and love each other (Ephesians 4:2 CEV).
Truly prosperous and successful people are often very humble; humble enough to believe that the Lord can use others as much as He can use them. This is unlike some other folks who believe God can only accomplish any major thing in their family, workplace, nation, or church through them. If whatever God is doing or going to do isn’t through them, they’re not going to accept it. That’s selfishness. No one can walk with the Spirit of God with such an attitude.
If your desire is to sincerely glorify the Lord and see His righteousness enthroned and exalted in the hearts of men, and in the nations of the world, then it doesn’t matter who He uses to accomplish it. The most important thing is that through His Church, His mandate, purpose, and desire for the nations and peoples of the world are being fulfilled.
Learn to bless the Lord and praise Him when He does something good for, or through, someone else. When someone else is esteemed above you, it shouldn’t hurt you in any way; be happy for that person, because it’s for the glory of God. He promotes each one of us, blesses and works in our lives in accordance with His dream and destiny for us. Never feel that no one else deserves to be ahead of you. The Bible says, “...Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts” (Zechariah 4:6).
That someone else is succeeding doesn’t mean you’re failing. Be appreciative of the success of others and praise the Lord on their behalf. When God sees that humility in your life, He’ll lift you; He’ll promote you. He exalts the humble; but He abases the proud. He never wants us to be proud. No matter what God does through us, He wants us to remain humble. We should be proud of Him, and what He’s made us. We should be proud of His glory in our lives; but we should never exalt ourselves above someone else.
Let the humility of Christ reflect in your character and in all that you do. Be that man, or that woman who genuinely appreciates and celebrates the successes and victories of others.

CONFESSION: By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, and honour, and life. Therefore, I put on bowels of mercy, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering, seeing people in the same perspective that the Lord sees them, without disdain or hatred for anyone. Glory to God!

FURTHER STUDY: Philippians 2:3 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
1 Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
2 Chronicles 12:12 And when he humbled himself, the wrath of the LORD turned from him, that he would not destroy him altogether: and also in Judah things went well.
