For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the
inward man is renewed day by day (2 Corinthians 4:16).
The words of the Spirit by the Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 lets
us know that we’re not to faint or give up when we face adversities. It says,
“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more
exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which
are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen
are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”
Whatever you might be going through today, if you’d maintain your
confidence in the Word, that particular experience will produce for you a far
more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. How will this happen? It’s by you
refusing to look at “the things which are seen, but at the things which are not
seen.” That means you shouldn’t consider the things that are obvious to the
optical eyes or the senses. This doesn’t mean you don’t “see” or feel that
they’re present, but you’re unruffled and unperturbed by them; your gaze is
fixed on the Word.
This was what Abraham did—he refused to consider the obvious adverse
circumstances or what he could see and feel in the natural realm. Rather, he
was strong in faith giving glory to God (Romans 4:20). This is how God expects
you to live: looking at the unseen; that’s when the miracle happens. Now, how
can you look at things that aren’t seen? If they can’t be seen, how then can
you look at them?
That lets you know He’s talking about seeing with your spirit. The things
that aren’t seen are those things God has said concerning you in His Word; they
may not be obvious to the optical eyes, but they’re real nonetheless. Likewise,
whatever you’ve asked the Lord for, and received with your spirit, is real,
even though you may not be able to relate with it through your natural senses.
So, you take possession with your spirit and refuse to consider the
circumstances that may try to convince you otherwise. That’s how it works.
PRAYER: Dear Father, I thank you for your Word, and its ability to put me
over in life, and cause me to fulfil my destiny in you! By my confessions of
faith, I cause situations to be in harmony with your perfect will for me, in
Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Mark 11:23-24 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto
this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not
doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall
come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24 Therefore I say unto you,
What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and
ye shall have them.
