The many sides of Pride

Pride is:
- a high or inordinate opinion of one's own dignity, importance, merit, or superiority, whether as cherished in the mind or as displayed in bearing or conduct.
- a dignified sense of what is due to oneself or one's position or character; self-respect; self-esteem.
- refusing to accept criticism.
- feeling sad when others share their testimonies.
- refusing to ask for help when it is clear you need one.
- comparing yourself with others and thinking you are better.
- unable to submit to others but always desire to lead others.
- the oldest sin.
- being blind from your own weaknesses.
- ensuring that your way must be done all the time.
- blaming others for your problems.
- being unable to say sorry to people after you have wronged them.
- over-valuing yourself.
- inordinate self-esteem.
- being full of oneself.
- insolence.
- self exaltation.
- excessive high opinion about yourself.
- being full of yourself.
- hatred for rival.
- big headedness.
- self glorification.
- over confidence.
- deciding to stay lost instead of asking someone for direction or help.
- looking down on things and on people.
- feeling too big to say 'I don't know'.
- makes you too big for God to use.
- never admitting a weakness.
- self vindication at all cost.
- seeking recognition and praise.
- desiring the approval of others.
- feeling sad when others are honoured.
- feeling you haven't received due honour.
