Monday Rhapsody Of Realities - The "Working Of Miracles!"

But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues (1 Corinthians 12:7-10).

Sunday Rhapsody Of Realities - Give No Place To Satan

Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me (John 14:30).
One of the ways Satan finds his way into people’s lives is through thoughts; their acceptance of his thoughts. When Satan plants a lie into a man’s heart and the man believes and accepts it, automatically, there’s a connection between him and Satan.

Sunday Open Heavens Devotional - Permanent Connection

MEMORISE: And of the angels he saith,Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire. Hebrews 1:7.

Friday Rhapsody Of Realities - What's Your Name?

And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob (Genesis 32:26-27).
As a Christian, it’s important that the name you answer doesn’t contradict the Word or what you believe about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. So, if you haven’t found out the meaning of your name, do so; and if the meaning isn’t consistent with who you are in Christ, change it. The name you answer is a major confession in your life, because your name is your destiny.

And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm (Mark 4:37-39).

Gambia bans Female Genital Mutilation (FGM)

Female genital mutilation is still practiced at a rate of one girl every 11 seconds around the world in 29 countries. At least 130 million women and girls live with the consequences of having their sexual organs forcibly mutilated, with many suffering from fistula, maternal mortality, child mortality, infection from Aids and typhus, and post-traumatic stress.

The Gambian government has introduced a ban on Female Genital Mutilation ( FGM ) which comes into effect immediately. The country’s leader - President Yahya Jammeh made a public proclamation outlawing the ancient practice. He reportedly pointed out that since his country was in the twenty first century, practices such as FGM have no place in modernity and should therefore be eradicated.

Monday Rhapsody Of Realities - He's Made You A Helper

Don’t be obsessed with getting your own advantage. Forget yourselves long enough to lend a helping hand (Philippians 2:4 MSG).
As the seed of Abraham, you’ve been blessed and enriched in all things. Abraham was blessed in all things (Genesis 24:1). The Bible specifically tells us he “…was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold” (Genesis 13:2). 1 Corinthians 3:21 says all things are yours; so you see, this wasn’t just for Abraham; you’ve become a part of it.

Sinkhole appears at Oxford Street in Manchester city centre

GMP have confirmed Whitworth Street at its junction with Oxford Street and Oxford Road has been cordoned off after reports of yet another sinkhole.
Police have alerted Manchester city council who are sending experts to the scene.
A GMP spokesman said they had responded to reports that a sinkhole seemed to be emerging.
We’ve just spoken to the water company United Utilities.
They have sent five crews out to inspect the area around the Whitworth Street sinkhole tonight.
There is a sewer around 100m underneath but they say early indications are that sewer hasn’t collapsed and that the road damage isn’t related to the waterways.

The road has had one lane re-opened, and workers will be on site in the morning nice and early to see what needs doing to make the rest of the area safe and to re-open the road fully.
We’ll have the latest updates from 6.30am with Pete Bainbridge in the breaking news.

If you will be driving via this route, please expect a bit of traffic tomorrow.

How APC Gubernatorial Candidate (Abubakar Audu) Died

News has emerged concerning the incident that surrounded the shocking death of Abubakar Audu, the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress.

Sunday Rhapsody Of Realities - Think Excellent Thought

Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23).
To “keep thy heart” means to mount guard over your heart, refusing to let just any thought come in. In Matthew 9:2-4, Jesus asked some religious scholars, “...Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?” That shows you’re responsible for the thoughts that come into your heart. So, watch and mount guard over your heart.

Saturday Open Heavens Devotional - Entering His Presence

MEMORISE: He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. Psalm 24:4.

Saturday Rhapsody Of Realities - Living By Faith

(For we walk by faith, not by sight:) (2 Corinthians 5:7).
The opening verse is in parenthesis, because Paul was discussing another subject earlier. While on that, he referenced a principle by the side, because he was addressing Christians, and it’s normal for Christians to walk and live by faith. Faith isn’t just something you require when there’s a need; it’s our lifestyle; something we do all the time. In Christianity, we walk by faith, not by sight; our eyes are always on the Word, not circumstances or what the senses tell us.

Friday Open Heavens Devotional - How Prophetic Are Your Names?

MEMORISE: And she shall bring forth a son,and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:21.

Friday Rhapsody Of Realities - Be Rightly Positioned

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn…(Isaiah 54:17).
Often, we see Christians who aren’t enjoying their lives, and they’re not sure what the problem is. Some point to human enemies as the cause of their misfortune: “My enemies must be at work,” they grumble. They even start praying against their perceived enemies. Such Christians are in the wrong place; they’re not living in the Word of God.

Thursday Rhapsody Of Realities - God's Word Is Seed

Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God (Luke 8:11).
The Word of God is God’s seed, and like any other seed, it reproduces after its kind. God has a message. If the message is about healing, it’s the seed of healing. If the message is about prosperity, it’s the seed of prosperity. If the message is about God’s promotion in your life, then it’s His seed of promotion. Whatever that message is, it’s God’s seed for producing it in you or for you.

Monday Rhapsody Of Realities - Faith In The New Testament

And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God (Mark 11:22).
In the New Testament, faith isn’t something we’re counselled to have. The one who’s born again is born with faith; faith is our conscious lifestyle. This wasn’t so in the Old Testament. What they had was trust and confidence in God; they “believed” and expressed confidence toward God for different things, but faith actually goes beyond believing with confidence and trust.

Saturday Rhapsody Of Realities - Faith Is Relating With The Unseen

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him (Hebrews 11:6).
No one can please God without faith, because God is a faith-God; He functions by faith. You must believe that He exists, and that He rewards those who diligently seek Him; those whose hearts are after Him.

Paris shootings and explosions kill at least 18 people

At least 18 people have been killed in several shootings in the French capital, Paris, as well as explosions near the Stade de France.
At least one man opened fire with an automatic gun at the Petit Cambodge restaurant in the 11th district.
Shooting has also been heard near the Bataclan arts centre with reports of hostages have been taken there.
Three explosions are also reported outside a bar near the Stade de France, where France were hosting Germany.
Reports say French President Francois Hollande was watching the match and has been moved to safety.
A BBC journalist at the Petit Cambodge restaurant says he can see 10 people on the road either dead or seriously injured.
He says police have now arrived and sealed off the area.
An eyewitness told Liberation he had heard more than 100 rounds being fired at a cafe in rue de Charonne.

Friday Rhapsody Of Realities - The Word Is Our Assurance

For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us (2 Corinthians 1:20).
The reason we believe that when we pray God answers isn’t that we think or assume He does, but because He said so—in His Word. He said, “…ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full” (John 16:24). 1 Peter 3:12 says, “For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers….” When you know these, you’re confident and bold to pray, knowing that God will always answer. His Word gives us that assurance.

The many sides of Pride

Pride is:
- a high or inordinate opinion of one's own dignity, importance, merit, or superiority, whether as cherished in the mind or as displayed in bearing or conduct.
- a dignified sense of what is due to oneself or one's position or character; self-respect; self-esteem.
- refusing to accept criticism.
- feeling sad when others share their testimonies.
- refusing to ask for help when it is clear you need one.
- comparing yourself with others and thinking you are better.
- unable to submit to others but always desire to lead others.
- the oldest sin.
