A man has been raped on Wearside, police said.
The victim,
who is in his 20s, was approached by another man near a wooden climbing wall in
Glebe Park, off Abbey Road, Washington, at about 23:00 BST on Monday.
A man has
been arrested and is helping with enquiries, Northumbria Police said.
Extra
officers will be patrolling the area in response to community concerns, the
force said.
