A Productive Mind Isn't a Gift

A man is made up of three things; the Spirit, the Soul and the Body.

These three parts of a man is essential to the relationship he has with God. Life is not ultimately physical and the body is not the whole man. And neither the body in itself, nor the soul in itself, nor the spirit in itself makes up the whole man, but that he is made of “spirit and soul and body.”

I will focus on the mind which is a content of the soul. Man is a living soul. The Bible says: “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul” (Genesis 2:7). Do not confuse that which is truly spiritual with that which is merely psychical. The spirit of man is the sphere of activity where the Holy Spirit operates in regeneration. Just as the soul is the sphere of activity where Satan operates, making his appeal to the affections and emotions of man. Continue...

Satan knows full well that he dominates the man controlled by his psychic or soul. Therefore he does not care if a man goes to a church where the Spirit of God is not evident. He knows that his victim is a creature of emotions, and it matters not if the emotions are stirred to sentimentalism or even to tears, just so long as man’s spirit does not come in contact with God’s Holy Spirit.

When the first man (Adam) fell from grace, he became disconnected from God and his divine nature. Now, when a man becomes born again, his spirit is regenerated, his soul is renewed and his body conforms to the principles of the kingdom. However, your mind has to be renewed and you have a duty to invest on your mind.

Salvation doesn't nullify the functionality of your mind; rather it upgrades your mind to be spiritual and more productive to produce maximum impact. How can you have the mind of Christ and yet you are stranded in life. A man with Christ's mind will never beat His wife, will not be poor, never fail and will always triumph. Check whether you have His mind or maybe you need to stir up your mind (by increasing your knowledge). Everything needed to make you great is in you. Your mind is your greatest asset in the actualization of your destiny. You must be heavenly conscious and yet be earthly impactful. Anything your mind can’t grasp even though it is your heritage, your hand will never handle it. We have the mind of Christ (1 Cor.2:16).

Your mind is the workshop of your destiny. You can never be greater than what you think (Prov.23:7). Until your mind is renewed, you will not be able to prove the perfect will of God for your life. (Rom. 12:2).

We are our thoughts. We cannot change anything if we cannot change our thinking. The most complex thing in life is CHOICE. So you can choose to renew your mind and become productive or do otherwise. The choice is yours. Deut. 30:19

To stir up your mind you must THINK!

Thinking is when your mind hovers over an issue with the aim of providing a solution. Thinking is not carnal. God thinks (Jer. 29:11, Isa. 1:18). If you don't think, you will stink and then after a while you will sink. If you are not a thinker you are ungodly. The brighter your thoughts are, the brighter your future. Anything you can imagine or think you can do. Battles are won or lost in the mind. The last business adventure that didn't work was because you didn't think you can. All things are possible. Until you see that you can, you can't reason your way out of challenges. Many nations are poor because of the poor thinking of her citizens. Change your perspective. Every growth is a function of mind elasticity. 2 Pet. 1:3. Therefore, poverty starts from the mind. Change your thinking pattern.
