Angelina Jolie Made Honorary Dame by Queen Elizabeth II

Jolie, 39, also known as Mrs Brad Pitt, was recognised for her work in this year's Queen's birthday honours
Actress Angelina Jolie, right, is presented with the Insignia of an Honorary Dame Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of St Michael and St George by Britain's Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace, London, October 10, 2014 for her work fighting against the use of sexual violence as a weapon during periods of war.



The film star has been known for her charity work throughout her career. In June, Jolie hosted a global summit to end sexual violence during conflict in London alongside the British Foreign Secretary William Hague.
