QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Recent Ph.D holders and lecturers with strong interest in conducting research in the relevant areas are encouraged to apply.

a. PROFESSOR (CONUASS 7)
Candidates should be holders of a Ph.D Degree from a recognized University with at least ten (10) years teaching, research and administrative experience in a tertiary institution. Candidates must possess demonstrable competence to provide academic leadership in a new university with respect to curriculum development and innovation. Candidates must also be specialists in core areas of departmental fields of study with evidence of many scholarly publications in both local and international reputable learned journals, plus registration with relevant professional bodies where applicable.

b. ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR (CONUASS 6)
Qualifications are as stated for Professors but with at least eight (8) years teaching, research and administrative experience in a tertiary institution. Candidates must have evidence of many scholarly publications in both local and international reputable learned journals, plus registration with relevant professional bodies, where applicable.

c. SENIOR LECTURERS (CONUASS 5)
Qualifications are same as in (b) above but with at least six (6) years teaching, research and administrative experience in a tertiary institution. Candidates must have evidence of eight (8) scholarly publications in both local and international reputable learned journals, plus registration with relevant professional bodies, where applicable.

d. LECTURER I (CONUASS 4)
Candidates should be holders of a Ph.D Degree from recognized Universities with at least three (3) years post-doctoral teaching, research and administrative experience in a tertiary institution. They must also have evidence of six (6) journal articles in both local and international reputable learned journals, plus registration with relevant professional bodies, where applicable.

e. LECTURER II (CONUASS 3)
Candidates should be holders of a Ph.D. degree from a recognised university.

f. ASSISTANT LECTURER (CONUASS 2)
Candidates should be holders of Master’s Degree in relevant fields with clear evidence of registration for a Ph.D programme.

Candidates’ submissions should be forwarded in an envelope which should have the position applied for clearly indicated on its left hand corner.
