Wednesday Rhapsody Of Realities - Nurture Your Spirit With The Word

And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works (2 Timothy 3:15-17).
Every Christian needs to learn and understand the Word of God; without studying the Word, you’ll never know it. 1 Peter 2:2 says, “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.” You have to hear the Word; you have to be taught, and then search the Scriptures for yourself.
There’re people who know so much about everything else, but know nothing about the Word of God; and that’s terrible. The most important thing about you is your spirit; that’s the real you. When everything in this world is over, your spirit will live on, which means your spirit is eternal. It’s therefore important that the spirit is trained and nurtured by the Word. Your spirit was recreated by the Word, and can only be sustained by the Word.
The human spirit must be educated to know and relate with spiritual verities. It’s one of the reasons the teaching of the Word of God in the Church is so important; it’s for the development of your spirit. If you follow the teaching of the Word of God, and also have times of personal meditation, your mind will surely be enlightened, your spirit will be lifted, and you’ll be strengthened in the things of God. More so, it’ll make your spirit an accurate guide, because he’s able to receive light from God; ideas and thoughts that’ll make you creative and excellent in all you do.
Understand that the highest potential of the human nature isn’t in the mind but in the spirit. So, keep educating your spirit with the Word. Discipline yourself to have, and follow, a very healthy and robust Word-study programme, with definite times of meditation.

PRAYER: Dear Father, thank you for the opportunity and joy of being inspired, taught, educated, trained, and nurtured in and by the Word. I’m built up, strengthened, and energised by your Word today, as always, for the ever-winning, victorious, and triumphant life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Further Study: Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
1 Timothy 4:15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.
Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
