To
Titus, mine own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God
the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour. For this cause left I thee in
Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain
elders in every city, as I had appointed thee (Titus 1:4-5).
In
our opening scripture, the Apostle Paul, writing to Titus instructed him to set
things in order, in Crete. God is a God of order, and when you look through the
Scriptures, you’d discover how important order is to the Lord; He doesn’t
tolerate disorder. There’s abundance of information given to us in the Bible,
on God’s response to disorder. If as a Christian, you wish to see the grace of God produce results for you, then order must be a vital factor in your life. There has to be order in your heart. Firstly, bring order into your life as an individual; order in the things you do. Sometimes, we tell people, “Put God first in your endeavours,” and some don’t understand what that means. Putting God first means putting His Word first; what does God think? What does He want? You put Him first; that’s order.
Also, giving priority to prayer and study of the Word of God in your life, is order. There’re many people who have expectations for a new year when it begins. As it is now, the year is still young, and many are excited about the year, and we all should be. But, if at the end of the year, you’re going to have testimonies, and experience the blessings of the Spirit as He has said, you’ve got to put things in order.
Your giving to the Lord is important. Your financial partnership in the Gospel is very vital; what place is that going to take in your life this year? What about church meetings? Can you bring that into order? Set things in order in your life, and you’d be setting yourself up for the manifestation of God’s grace in a tremendous way. Glory to God!
PRAYER:
Dear Father, I thank you for the enlightenment and inspiration from your Word
to me today. Your grace is working in me mightily, producing great success and
victory in my life, because there’s order in my heart! The Lord has set me on
course to do all things right, decently, and in order. I exude the excellence
of the Spirit in everything, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
