For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth.
He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the
LORD (Psalm 33:4-5).
1 Corinthians 3:21 says all things are yours. Therefore, you don’t have
to suffer or settle for the lesser things in life. The Lord Jesus suffered in
your place, to usher you into a life of glory. Hebrews 2:10 says, “For it
became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing
many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through
sufferings.” 2 Corinthians 8:9 says, “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus
Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye
through his poverty might be rich.”
These aren’t promises but present-hour realities. He tells us in Isaiah
1:19-20, “If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land….”
According to the Scriptures, we’re not called to obey the Word but to walk in
the Word. We practise and do the Word; that’s where the blessing is: “But be ye
doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.…But whoso
looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a
forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his
deed” (James 1:22-25).
How much you enjoy life, and all that Christ has done for you and made you,
depends on how much of God’s Word you live-out, walk in or live by.
PRAYER: Dear Father, I thank you for sanctifying my heart to know,
believe and walk in your truth always. My life is improved, and your glory is
revealed in and through me as I meditate on, and live in your Word, in Jesus’
Name. Amen.
Further Study: Luke 6:47-49 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my
sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: 48 He is like a
man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock:
and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could
not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. 49 But he that heareth, and doeth
not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against
which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of
that house was great.
Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but
thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according
to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous,
and then thou shalt have good success.
