The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest
the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth:
so is every one that is born of the Spirit (John 3:8).
The Lord Jesus, in our opening text said, “The wind
bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not
tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of
the Spirit.” In other words, those who are born again live by the Spirit. And
the Spirit, like the wind, is always moving. Jesus didn’t tell us that the
Spirit is like air; He said it’s like the wind. Wind is moving air. So the
Spirit, like the wind, can’t be conditioned in one place. Wind is air in
motion.
In the same vein, when you’re born again, born of
the Spirit, you’re a spirit in motion. Hallelujah! There’re people who have
been in one spot for a long time; they’ve not made any progress in life;
everything seems stagnant. That’s not for the one who’s born again and filled
with the Holy Spirit; he’s always in motion: upward and forward; no stagnation.
That’s my life. I’m always moving, always making progress.
That should be your experience. Never allow
stagnation in any area of your life. When someone asks, “How are you doing?”
you ought to say, “I’m excellent and full of glory; I’m making progress with
giant strides!” Glory to God!
CONFESSION: I’m growing stronger by the day, like a
cedar in Lebanon ,
and flourishing like the palm tree! I move in the Spirit, and of my increase,
progress, and prosperity, there shall be no end! I live the transcendent life
of endless possibilities and victories unlimited! Glory to God!
FURTHER STUDY: Genesis 26:13-14 And the man waxed
great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great: 14 For he had
possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and
the Philistines envied him.
Proverbs 4:18 But the path of the just is as the
shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.
2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with open face
beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image
from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
