Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen
you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your
fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he
may give it you (John 15:16).
Notice again the words of the Spirit in
Psalm 1:3: “...and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” He didn’t say you’ll
prosper if the business is what’s trending or booming. The emphasis is
“whatsoever”; in other words, there’s an empowerment in your life to cause you
to prosper in all things.
In the Old Testament, Moses spoke to the
children of Israel ,
and gave them God’s promises. Imagine what he said God would do for them: “And
he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the
fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine
oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which
he sware unto thy fathers to give thee” (Deuteronomy 7:13). Think about that!
Everything that had to do with them was blessed. As long as it was connected to
them, it prospered.
Now, in the New Testament, we have a
better covenant, established upon better promises: “But now hath he obtained a
more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better
covenant, which was established upon better promises” (Hebrews 8:6). Therefore,
anything you’re involved in should, of necessity, prosper; anything! The
important factor isn’t what’s trending; the important factor is you. If you’re
in it, then it’s blessed. Hallelujah!
PRAYER: Dear heavenly Father, I thank
you for the inherent ability in me to prosper in all that I do. As the seed of
Abraham, everything that’s connected to me is blessed—my finances, business,
job, family, etc. I walk in the consciousness that I’m blessed to be a
blessing, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
FURTHER STUDY: Galatians 3:8-9 And the
scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith,
preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be
blessed. 9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.
Galatians 3:28-29 There is neither Jew
nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female:
for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye
Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Jeremiah 17:7-8 Blessed is the man that
trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. 8 For he shall be as a tree
planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall
not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful
in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
