Kogi Decides: Bello Is In Lead At Supplementary Election

Results from the Kogi polling units have started to pour in, and according to those unofficial results, Alh. Yahaya Bello is in early lead against his PDP counterpart Idris Wada.
In Odo Ape ward of Kabba/Bunu LGA, the APC scored 41 votes against the PDP’s 18 votes. The APC also won by a margin of 3 votes at Ayetoro Kiri ward.
The APC is leading massively in some of the units in Kogi Central, the home of the new party’s candidate, Vanguard reports.

Okene LGA:
Bariki Ward PU 12 Okene: APC 201, PDP 2


Okehi LGA:
Oboroke ward two: APC 110, PDP 0.
Apanko poling unit: APC 212, PDP 2.
Oboroke Uvete II polling unit 10: APC 108, PDP 2.


Ijumu LGA:
Aiyetoro ward 1: APC 86 PDP 102.
The only unit in Okene local government, Bariki ward: APC 201, PDP 2.


Yagba West LGA:
Ajigi/Ofinran/Okedisin Polling Unit: APC 86, PDP 73


Ajaokuta LGA:
Ituwa Ipaja, Ajaokuta LGA: APC 247, PDP has 8
Apanko PU: APC 212, PDP 2


Dekina LGA:
Ofugolo, Anyigba: APC 42, PDP 77
Ofejikpi PU1, Anyigba: APC 88, PDP 98
Etiaja PU2, Anyigba: APC 71, PDP 48
Ofejikpi PU2, Anyigba: APC 159, PDP 54
Reports also indicated that counting are still ongoing in some of the polling units in Kogi East which experienced some security hitches.
There are 91 polling units where supplementary poll are ongoing in Kogi state today, December 5.

The Independent National Electoral Commission is expected to declare the winner of the poll today.

With the current move of events, we are expecting some decisions to be challenged in the elections tribunal. APC will seriously need to fight in order to restore peace within the party in the state.
