Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we
ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us (Ephesians 3:20).
The Lord is more committed to your prosperity and progress than you could
ever be. No matter the thoughts and desire you have for success, God sure has
better thoughts and plans for your success. It brings to mind what the Spirit
revealed through the prophet Jeremiah: “For I know the thoughts that I think
toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an
expected end”
(Jeremiah 29:11).
(Jeremiah 29:11).
Can you see that? It means that His thoughts towards you are always good;
there’s no single thought of evil, sickness, poverty or negativity in His mind
toward you. Think about it! Some people have lived with the erroneous belief
that God is mad at them, and His disposition towards them is dependent on how
good, nice or well-behaved they’ve been, but that’s not true. First, you need
to understand that God is love (1 John 4:8,16). Secondly, He is goodness personified.
Luke’s submission in Acts 10:38 gives us an idea of His nature and
disposition; His plans and purpose towards His people. It says, “How God
anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about
doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with
him.” Let this be your meditation; ponder deeply on the Father’s love and
affectionate disposition towards you. He said in 3 John 1:2, “Beloved, I wish
above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul
prospereth.”
Appreciate the Father’s love for you. He loves you more than you could
possibly imagine; He loves you more than you love yourself, and he’s more
desirous and passionate about your success than you could ever be. He seeks
your good all the time. O, how gracious and loving He is!
PRAYER: Dear Father, I’m grateful for your love, and acknowledge your
glory in my life. There’s none like you, blessed Father. You’ve made my heart
your dwelling place, and beautified me with your righteousness. Your goodness,
mercy, and grace follow me all the days of my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
