And Jesus said unto them…If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye
shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall
remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you (Matthew 17:20).
Don’t rest your faith on “the Bible,” but in the Word of God contained
therein. Remember, we observed in our last study that the Bible is the testimony
of God, but it contains the words of men, Satan, demons, and even a donkey. So
to have faith in the Bible in that generic sense isn’t what works. Your faith
has to be in God’s Word, and by that, faith requires to be definite and
directed. True faith originates from God’s specific Word; and that’s what
produces results.
The “logos” of God is life (John 6:63), but it won’t do anything for you
until you receive it and act on it. For instance, there may be several electric
sockets with electric power in a building, but to use the power, you have to
plug an appliance into a power socket for it to work. That’s the same thing
with the Word of God. The Bible says, “And ye shall know the truth, and the
truth shall make you free” (John 8:32). The whole body of God’s Word is truth,
but the truth that makes you free is the truth you receive; the truth you know
and live by.
The written Word doesn’t have power of itself until it comes out of the
lips of a man who has faith; that’s where the power is. So, act your faith in
the Word and you’ll be victorious always.
PRAYER: Dear Father, I thank you for giving me your engrafted Word, by
which I live. I succeed and make progress by the Word today, and my victorious
life is evident, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

|| James 1:22-25 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only,
deceiving your own selves. 23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a
doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24 For he
beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of
man he was. 25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and
continueth [therein], he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work,
this man shall be blessed in his deed. ||
