For the
Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the
archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the
clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord (1
Thessalonians 4:16-17).
This is why
we’re preaching and must continue to preach the Gospel with all fervency. The
Bible says because of the salvation of one soul, there’s joy in heaven (Luke
15:7). So, let’s not be passive or complacent about the Gospel. It’s what we
live for; it’s what your life is for! God left us here to win souls to Christ.
Make up your mind to be what God raised you to be, and to fulfil His dream.
Don’t live for nothing; don’t live for yourself. Live for Him. Stand strong in
Him, because He’s made you a victor in this life.
Be alert
and alive because Christ Jesus has given you power over all devils. He’s given
you power over fear; be not afraid of anything. And when He comes again, we’d
bring our sheaves with us; we’d present all that we have won to Him, and He’d
say, “Well done thou good and faithful servant; enter into the joy of thy Lord”
(Matthew 25:21). That’s what our singing is for, our worship, our giving; that’s
what everything we do is for: the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ!
PRAYER: Dear
Lord, I thank you for the glorious Gospel of your Kingdom, which is committed
to my trust. With all fervency and urgency, I preach the Gospel of
righteousness, snatching many from destruction and damnation, into your
glorious Kingdom, and liberty of the sons of God, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Further
Study: Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is
none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
