Gunmen Abduct RCCG Pastor, Two Church Members

Pastor Mark Christmas with the Redeemed Christian Church of God, New Anointing Chapel, has been abducted by unknown gunmen in Bayelsa state.

The Punch reports that the pastor and two members of his church were kidnapped on October 18 in Biseingbene community, Ekeremor local government area of the state.
According to the wife of the pastor, Evelyn, her husband was lured to the community under the pretext of attending an emergency meeting with his kinsmen in the area.
“You know we reside in Yenagoa. On that faithful day, my husband was invited to the community, Biseingbene, for a meeting by the abductors.
“When he got to the community, he found out that the invitation for a meeting was false and a devilish plan to kidnap him. My husband has spent over two weeks in their den,” she said.
The woman revealed that shortly after the abduction, the criminals contacted the pastor’s family and demanded N30m as ransom for his freedom. They also demanded N200,000 as cost for phone calls made.
“It is almost two weeks and I have not heard or seen my husband, but some of our family members, who live in the village, told me that they had spoken with them.
“You cannot even speak with him on the phone or will he call you; I am worried and I am praying that my husband will come back alive,” the aggrieved woman added.
However, when contacted, Asinim Butswat, the spokesman for the Bayelsa state police command, said that the family had not reported the matter to them.
Last month, Residents of Yenagoa, the capital of Bayelsa state, were shocked following the news that Alawari Ogili, the pastor of Land of Peace Ministry, was killed by unidentified gunmen.
If you don't release the pastor and the members unhurt in the next 72 hours, every one of you and your family members will die mysteriously. Don't take this as a threat but what will actually happen.
