Herein is
our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment:
because as he is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17).
Every time
you respond to situations, let it be Christ in you responding. Remember, He
lives in you; you’re a “carrier” of His divine glory. You’re the reflector, as
well as the reflection, of His glory. That’s what the Word means by “...being
the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person...” (Hebrews
1:3). You might say, “But that verse refers to Jesus!” Yes; but you’re like
Him. Read the opening verse again: as He is, so are we in this world.
Don’t act
in the flesh; express the beauty of God’s holiness that’s inside you. Express
His righteousness. Live His Word; portray Christ with your life, because you
represent Him. Think, talk, and act like Him. Meditate on His Word; His Word
shows you His way of thinking; His Word reveals His personality to us. So, the
more you study the Word and act on it, the more you characterize Him with your
life.
The world
may never know Him until they meet us. Never forget that. We were made in God’s
image and in His likeness. That means we were made to look like Him and to
function like Him. Now that you’re born again, you’re exactly like Jesus. You
have the same nature with Him. This is a spiritual reality. So, in everything,
let His divine nature and attributes be revealed through you. Portray His
character of love, righteousness, goodness, and compassion with your life!
PRAYER: Dear
Father, I thank you for the privilege of being made an associate of the
God-kind! I’m empowered by your Spirit to daily reveal Christ with my life,
manifesting His righteousness, and the glories of the Kingdom! Thank you for
the manifestation of your righteousness, wisdom, and grace, in and through me,
in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
